Introduction
In this article, we’re going to show you how to add a survey to your course.
Top tips before you begin
- You can add one survey per course - but you can ask as many questions as you'd like!
- You can use multiple choice and free text questions in your surveys.
- Surveys provide an opportunity to gain valuable feedback from your learners, understand their experience of your course and how you can improve your courses in future.
- Learners can return to a course and resubmit a survey as many times as they like. They can access it via the course menu - please note in doing so their survey analytics will be replaced each time and previous answers will be lost, as well as if a survey is amended, and/or deleted - unless the analytics are exported first - see How to export course survey analytics.
- Based on our feedback from our customers, the survey is now a single page that you can add as many questions as you need to – rather than multiple single-question pages.
Please note: surveys are mandatory and count towards the course completion. Therefore, the survey page must at least be accessed by learners to trigger the 100% progress, and their course completion. By not visiting the survey page, it will result in an incomplete course.
We therefore recommend adding some additional instructional text to either the 'assessment introduction' page, and/or the 'assessment results' page, to inform learners that they need to access the survey before exiting the course, to ensure their completions are recorded.
