In this article, we’ll teach you how to import a course in SCORM format. You might want to do this if:
- You’ve purchased some courses in SCORM format from an elearning provider.
- You’ve built your own courses using an authoring tool other than Nimble Author.
To import a SCORM package you need to go to the 'Courses' page and click the 'Import SCORM package' button.
Top tips before you begin
- SCORM is only supported for subscribers. If you're using a trial or pay as you go account, you won't be able to import a SCORM package.
- Nimble LMS only currently supports SCORM 1.2. Other import formats such as SCORM 2004 are not currently supported.
- The maximum size of file that may be uploaded is 300MB.
Importing a SCORM Package
To import a SCORM course:
- From the Nimble LMS home screen, click the 'Courses' button.
- Click the
'Import SCORM package' button.
- In the 'Title' field enter a name for your course.
- Click the
button.
- Select the SCORM package that you’d like to import.
- Click the
button, and please wait while your SCORM course is imported.
- Smashing! Your SCORM package has been imported to the 'Default' course folder.
If you wish to move your course to a different course folder, use the 'Folder' dropdown to select a different course folder. Then click the 'Save' button at the bottom of the screen to save your changes.
Alternative you can easily move your course to a different folder on the 'Courses' page, by holding down the mouse button on the icon to the left of the course, and dragging it to a different course folder.
