Your account settings let you set a default expiry date and due date for every course in your account. You can also turn on continuing professional development (CPD) tracking for your learners. This article shows account admins how to update the course settings and CPD settings in Nimble LMS 2. Once you've set these defaults, they will apply as standard each time you add a course.
Top tips before you begin
- You'll need the Account admin role to change these settings. Other roles can't see Account settings.
- The course expiry and due date you set here are defaults for all courses in your account. You can change both for an individual course on that course's profile page.
- Course expiry and course due date are both optional. If you leave them blank or turned off, your courses won't have a default expiry date or due date.
- When a course expires, it moves to the learner's learning archive.
- Turning on a course due date helps learners and admins keep track of what needs finishing:
- In a learner's My courses area, courses that are overdue appear in the Overdue section.
- Courses that are due soon appear in the Due soon section of the learner's My courses area.
- Admins can see enrolments that are due soon in the Due soon section of their Dashboard.
- If you'd like to set up email reminders for your learners, now or in the future, you'll need to turn on course due dates first.
- New settings only apply to new enrolments. Learners already enrolled on a course keep their current expiry date and due date.
- The Tenant access option only appears if Tenancy is turned on for your account. Speak to your Customer Success Manager for more details on multi-tenancy.
- If you get stuck, our Support team is here to help, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm UK time (except Bank Holidays).
