Introduction
For the best possible experience when building courses in Nimble Author, we recommend using a display resolution of at least 1920 X 1080 pixels, without scaling.
Top tips before you begin
- Any display resolution from 1366 X 768 and upwards will work when building courses in Nimble Author, but 1920 X 1080 or higher will work best.
- If you’re working at 1366 X 768, you might not be able to see the background image that surrounds your pages. To see it, just zoom out a little and it’ll become visible.
- If you’re using the built-in Windows screen-scaling function, you might find that Nimble Author behaves unpredictably. If you experience problems, try turning off scaling.
How to check your display resolution and scaling settings
Opening the Display settings
To check your screen resolution in Microsoft Windows:
- Right-click in some empty space on the Desktop.
- Click Display settings.
If you use multiple screens
If you use multiple screens, you need to select the screen you want to check.
- Click on the screen that you’d like to check. If you don’t know which screen is which, click the Identify button and it will display the numbers on your screens.
Checking the display resolution
- You’ll see your display resolution listed in the Display resolution drop-down. If you want to change your resolution from here, you can do so - just click the drop-down and select the resolution you'd like to use.
Checking scaling
- You’ll see whether your screen is being scaled under the Change the size of text, apps and other items drop-down. If it’s set to something above 100%, try setting it back to 100%.
