From time to time, your learners might encounter a message that warns “You are being taken back to your course list. If this problem persists, contact your administrator” when they try to access their course, or whilst they are working through their course.
In most situations, this occurs for learners who have opened their course, left it open for a very long time (e.g. over a weekend) and then tried to begin working again.
Please note: due to the 'inactivity logout' feature this message can also appear if the learner has left their course open, but inactive, for more than 15 minutes.
Resolving this error
In most situations this can be resolved by asking the affected learner to log out and then log back in again. To do this:
- Once returned to the Course list, ask the learner to click the X EXIT button in the top right of the page.
- Once returned to the login screen, ask the learner to log back in and try taking the course as normal.
If your learner is still experiencing difficulties
If your learner is still experiencing difficulties after logging out and logging back in, please submit a ticket to our support team, including:
- What browser they're using (including version)
- What operating system they're using
- What device they're using
- Confirmation that they have tried logging out and back in
