In this article we will teach you how to add clients on to your account and how you can then edit those clients should you need to, if your account has Client Management enabled.
Client Management adds another level of permissions to your account, which allows you to separate your learners, on your site, into Client(s), or Department groups, and have site Administrators who can only access information and perform activities, for the learners and courses assigned specifically to them.
Adding new clients
1. Navigate to the 'Clients Page' by clicking on the 'Clients' tab - you can find the 'Clients' tab under the 'Settings' section:
2. Click on the button to add a new client:
3. Enter the client details - this includes the following:
- Client name - the name you wish to give the client
- Weight - change the position/order in the list once you have more than one client available
- Users - which users should be assigned to this client
- Courses - which (existing) courses should be assigned to this client:
4. Once completed, click the button.
5. Continue clicking on the button and repeating the process to add more clients, as desired.
Please note:
- You can assign a course to a client, in the client settings as mentioned above, or within the course settings, accessible on the Courses page – using the cogs for that course. Please see instructions for Client visibility on courses
- You can assign a user to a client, in the client settings as mentioned above, or within the user settings, accessible on the Users page – using the cogs for that user. Please see instructions for Assigning Users and/or Client Administrators to a Client(s)
If enabled on your Client Management setup, it is possible to assign Client Administrators to multiple clients, if required - please note: Administrators and Admin + Authors should never be assigned to clients at any time, as they are automatically assigned to all clients by the system. So it is not required and can have a negative effect on the setup of your Client Management.
