If you would like to set a completion period for your courses, perhaps because you need learners to retake courses annually or because you are selling courses and want to limit access, you can ask for the course expiry function to be enabled on your Nimble LMS account.
Please note: the course expiry function is not enabled by default. If you would like to use this feature, please speak to your Customer Success Manager.
Course expiry must be set before learners are enrolled onto a course for it to take effect.
Important note: Expiry dates or changes to expiry periods will only affect learners subsequently enrolled on the course(s). Any existing enrolments will still have the expiration set, even after the expiry is later removed from the course(s).
What is course expiry?
This feature enables you to set an expiry period for a specific course, during which any learners enrolled have full access to the course. They must complete the course before it expires - after the course expiry period is over, the following happens:
- Learner enrolments will expire, and learners can no longer access the course from their course list, but,
- Administrators can still see the learner data in the Results tab of Nimble LMS (unless the learner has been deleted)
Setting an expiry period for a course
This must be done on a course-by-course basis.

Viewing expiry results on the LMS
As an Administrator you can view the expiry results for your learners, on the LMS.
To access your learners' results:
7. From the LMS home page, click the Results button:

- The average time your learners have spent on their courses.
You can use the filters at the top of the page to narrow the results to just the learners you need to review i.e. to see the learners who have expired:
