Groups make it super easy to manage your learners and enrol them onto courses.
In this article, we’ll teach you how to add a group, put existing learners into a group, remove learners from a group and how to delete a group. If you’re creating learners individually or on mass, you can add them to a group as part of the creation process.
Accessing the learner groups management
To access the learners page:
- From the Nimble LMS home screen, click the Learners button.
- From the Nimble LMS Learners page, click the
button.
From the learner groups page, you can see all of your learner groups on the left-hand side of the page and all of the learners the groups contain on the right-hand side of the page.
Adding a new learner group
To add a new learner group:
- From the learner groups management page, click
.
- Complete the required fields:
- Name – The name of the group that you’d like to create.
- Weight – By default, your folders are sorted in alphabetical order but if you want to change that, you can assign your folders a weight. The smaller (lighter) the number, the closer to the top of the list the group will “float”.
- Click the
button.
Adding existing learners to a group
To add a learner to a group:
- From the learner groups management page, locate the learner. If you haven’t added them to any groups yet, you’ll find them in the All group as standard.
- Drag and drop the learner into the group of your choice by using the
.
Important note: When you drag and drop learners from All group, they won’t disappear from it. This is because the All groups shows all of your learners.
Removing learners from a group
To remove learners from a group:
- From the learner groups management page, select the group from the right-hand side.
- Place a tick next to the learner(s) you want to remove from the group.
- Click the
button.
Deleting a group
To delete a group:
- From the learner groups management page, click the
button next to the group you want to delete.
- Click the
button.
- Click the
button. Super – you’ve deleted your group.
