Security is a priority within Nimble LMS 2, which is why we automatically lock a learner's account if they enter incorrect login credentials five times consecutively. This article explains how an administrator can unlock the account and help the learner regain access to their training.
Top tips before you begin
- User notification: When a user's account gets locked, they will receive an email notifying them that it happened and instructing them to contact an administrator.
- Administrator access required: Please note that only users with administrator privileges can unlock user accounts.
- 48-hour validity: The link in the recovery email is only valid for 48 hours. If it expires, you can send another.
- Check spam folders: Once you have completed the steps below, advise your learner to check their junk or spam folder if the recovery email does not appear in their inbox within a few minutes.
How to help a user unlock their account
- Log into your Nimble LMS 2.
- From the menu on the left of the screen, select Users.
- Use the filters or search bar to locate the user you wish to unlock, then select their name to open their profile.
